Team Hughes

Our team would like to start off by thanking Balance Plus and InTheHack for giving young teams the opportunity to compete in this contest and drawing awareness to the issue of sponsorship for Junior teams. It is hard work to find good sponsors, yet over the years our team has formed great relationships with our sponsors who have helped us so much to fulfill our dreams.

We feel our sponsors have supported us year after year because we possess many attributes that a business wants to associate itself with. We are an extremely motivated and dedicated team that is always striving to reach the next step in our curling careers. Like any business, we are now working towards a banner year. We have been working hard, physically and mentally, since last season to prepare ourselves for our last year of Junior competition as a team. So this year our we have set our goals high and we will not settle for any less than achievement of these goals.

Our curling schedule for the 05/06 season is quite extensive. We are entered in at least seven cashspiels including:

• Sobey’s Classic in New Glasgow
• Lady Monctonian in Moncton
• Asham Jean Greenbank-Martin Classic in Fredericton
• OVCA Junior Superspiel in Ottawa
• Pure Curling Junior Cashspiel in Lower Sackville
• Howard-Johnson Junior Cashspiel in Cornwall
• PEI Junior Provincials in Crapaud

We are also members of two curling clubs to be able to practise everyday and are entered in the Charlottetown Curling Club and Cornwall Curling Club’s superleagues. With all of these additional expenses we realized that our current sponsors contributions and our fund-raising efforts would not be enough. We hope that you will consider our application and be the next sponsors of Team Hughes.

So here’s a little background on our team. Three of our members (Meaghan, Sinead, and Michala) have been together for seven seasons and it will be the second season with our fourth player, Erika. I LOVE YOU CHACHI!!!!!!!

Chach n' Crotch, i never knew you were such a bad ass...

i hope they don't get it because of their coach...

In response to Team Hughes not Winning Curling Idol. It is unfortunate that there are people out there especially in the curling world that would be so petty and jealous that they would actually make a comment like that. Team Hughes is a good team and have done well in their curling endeavours and they should at least be treated with the same respect that they themselves give to other teams and coaches.

If you can not say anything respectufl or positive about this Team or any other team, please be so kind as to keep your petty comments to yourself.

Team hughes is gonna win so don't even try other teams!!!!

It would be great to see a taem from PEI win curling Idol.
They are all great curlers and dreserve to win
