Team Jonston

We are currently preparing ourselves for a run at the 2006 Canadian Karchёr Juniors (17-20) and the qualifications for the 2007 Canada Winter Games as a bantam team (16 and under). Our team is jam packed with experience as well as talent. Our team consists of skip Dylan Johnston, third Cody Johnston, second Robert Chen, and lead Tony Chen, who have a combined over 40 years curling experience. We are coached by Larry Burns who is a certified Level 2 coach.
As soon as the upcoming curling season begins, we will be traveling to and attending many different curling events to prepare ourselves for the highly anticipated season.
We are a relatively young team with very high potential. With the Canadian Juniors being held in Thunder Bay this year it would be awsome to compete at that level in our hometown. We aren't really up to date with our curling equipement(old wood brooms, and parents old shoes).
Our team competes in the Monday Night Men’s League at the Fort William Curling Club and also the Boston Pizza/Pepsi Junior Interclub League Sundays. We play in the junior league held Thursdays and some Tuesdays. Our team practices are held Saturday afternoons and some Friday nights. Each member of the team also practices on his own two other days a week for at least one hour.
